The Centro di documentatione di storia della psichiatria is a museum of psychiatry in Reggio nell'Emilia , Italy. It was founded in 1875 by Carlo Livi, director of the San Lazzaro Psychiatric Hospital, to present the advances in psychiatry. It is located in the Lombroso wing of the former San Lazzaro Hospital, named after the criminal anthropologist Cesare Lombroso . Approximately 8,000 drawings from patients have been preserved; a drawing school had been opened by the psychiatrist Augusto Tamburini (1848-1919).
