Cesare Barlacchi was an Italian opera and film director .

Life

Barlacchi was first known as a stage director of lyrical operas, who achieved success especially in the second half of the 1930s and turned to film directing for some time after the Second World War . He had directed documentaries as early as the 1940s; In 1946 he made the first feature film, which was followed by four more in the following decade.
