Chūō line
Several railway lines in Japan are referred to as the Chūō line ( Japanese 中央 線 Chūō-sen , German 'central line' ):
- the Chūō main line ( 中央 本 線 ) (Tokyo – Shiojiri-Nagoya), on which express and freight trains operate.
- the Chūō rapid transit line ( 中央 線 快速 ) (Tokyo Hbf-Takao) in the Tokyo S-Bahn system
- the Chūō-Sōbu Line ( 中央 ・ 総 武 緩行 線 ) (Chiba-Mitaka) on the Tokyo S-Bahn system
- the Chūō Line (Ōsaka) of the Osaka Metro
