Charlatan (" Scharlatan ") is the title of a painting by the Flemish painter Jan Miel (1599–1663) from his Roman creative period around 1650.

It shows a market scene with the eponymous dottore , accompanied by Zanni from the commedia dell'arte . The sign behind them advertises with VERO SECRET CONT ... ("the real cure") for them.

It has been owned by the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg since 1802 and is currently not on public display.
