The Charlotte Rage were an arena football team from Charlotte, North Carolina that played in the Arena Football League (AFL). The Rage played their home games at the Charlotte Coliseum, among other places .
history
The Rage were founded in 1991 and began playing in the AFL for the 1992 season. The founder was Allen J. Schwalb , who died in 2014 and who financed films such as Rambo and Rain Man . The Rage reached the playoffs in 1993 and 1994, but failed both times because of the Arizona Rattlers .
After the franchise had operated for five years with a total of 24 wins and 36 losses, it dissolved again in 1996.
