Chartered IT Professional

Chartered IT Professional ( CITP ) is a qualification for computer scientists awarded by the British Computer Society (BCS) under Royal Charter .

The qualification is not awarded in relation to a specific subject area, but can be acquired through qualification in various areas of IT. These include information management and security, strategy and architecture, portfolio, program and project management, business change, solution development and implementation, service management, quality and resource management, education and training, sales and marketing .

The designation Chartered IT Professional is like the auditor and the tax consultant a regulated profession within the meaning of the EU Directive 2005/36 / EG . Like all Chartered Professions, the CITP's professional rules and admission requirements are approved by the Privy Council .

Admission requirements

The admission requirements include

  1. usually a minimum of 8 to 10 years of work experience in the information technology field. The duration of an accredited university course can be counted towards this.
