Cheiron (potter)
Cheiron was a Greek potter in the 2nd quarter of the 6th century BC. BC, active in Athens .
He is only known from his signature on fragments of an Attic black-figure bowl from the Athens Acropolis (Athens, National Museum Akr. 1780 and private property). This was painted by the C-painter with the representation of a warrior fight. However, the signature is only preserved in fragments, the first letter is missing, the fourth letter can be read as Delta or Rho, so the names Cheidon or Pheidon are also possible. Not identical to Chiron (potter) .
