Chemostat

A chemostat (Greek chem (o) - "chemistry" and -stat "regulating") is a device for keeping a constant or preset substance or ion concentration constant.

There are two types:

In the technical control sense, only the chemostat valve represents a control circuit. The chemostat bioreactor is only controlled, apart from any additional control circuits that may be present to maintain, for example, predetermined temperature or pH values.
