Chen Rio is a small beach on the southwest side of the Mexican Caribbean island of Cozumel . This side of the island is not protected by a reef, but Chen Rio has a small natural lagoon and is therefore one of the few places on the southeast coast of the island suitable for swimming. There is a small watercourse in the hinterland, hence the name Rio.
There are several restaurants near the beach.
