Chess Island is an uninhabited inland island in the Canadian state of Manitoba . It is 250 meters from the shores of Shannon Lake .
The island is 2.7 kilometers long and 1.3 kilometers wide. Nearby are the islands of Grenon Island , Chambers Island and Crane Island .
