China Communications Standards Association

The China Communications Standards Association (CCSA) is the Chinese standards organization with activities in the field of communication technology . The focus is on the cellular sector and IP systems .

The CCSA is subordinate to the Chinese Ministry of Information Industry and was founded on December 18, 2002. It is a member of the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) and 3rd Generation Partnership Project 2 (3GPP2).

The CCSA is divided into four working groups with the following tasks:

  1. IP systems and devices
  2. IP services and applications
  3. Coding theory topics
  4. New technologies and international communication standards
