China Scholarship Council

The China Scholarship Council ( Chinese  国家 留学 基金 管理 委员会 , Pinyin Guójiā Liúxué Jījīn Guǎnlǐ Wěiyuánhuì , CSC) is a non-profit organization subordinate to the Chinese Ministry of Education. It promotes international academic exchange with China. The CSC encourages both Chinese students to study abroad and foreign students in China. The agency mainly awards grants to individuals, including batches that are awarded to certain foreign universities

The CSC awards the “Chinese government award for outstanding self finance students abroad”.

The International Cooperative Program for Innovative Talents (ICPIT) is an elite-track exchange funding from the CSC that funds a small number of specialized training programs resulting from collaboration between top Chinese and international institutions.
