Chitãozinho e Xororó are a Brazilian music duo of the Música sertaneja . The two brothers come from Astorga ( Paraná ). Chitãozinho is actually called José Lima Sobrinho (* May 5, 1954), Xororó's real name is Durval de Lima (* September 30, 1957).

The two singers and guitarists with the stage names Chitãozinho and Xororó have been among the big stars of this music genre since 1982 and were specifically built up by the Brazilian media based on the model of North American country stars. They recorded their first record in 1970. At their 30th stage anniversary in 2000, the duo had sold a total of 30 million records.

Chitãozinho e Xororó has also become a synonym for the haircut in Brazil, which is called mullet in German-speaking countries .
