In 1803 the congregation received a donation of 500 rubles from Tsar Alexander the First to build the church , which he brought to the church building site himself. It was consecrated in honor of the birth of Christ and in 1863 at the request of Count Belyayev also St. Paraskewa Pyatnitsa .

Like most churches, the church in Sokolskoye was neglected during the Soviet period and is in a very poor condition today.

In 2005 there were only the remains of the wooden iconostasis in the church , the frescoes were in poor condition. The cemetery that was next to the church was destroyed in Soviet times, as was the wooden fence around the church building. The church building is abandoned and there are no more services.
