Christof Boehringer

Christof Boehringer (* 1934 ) is a German numismatist and classical archaeologist .

Christof Boehringer, son of the archaeologist and numismatist Erich Boehringer (1897–1971), studied classical archeology and received his doctorate in 1966 from the University of Munich . From 1967 until his retirement in 1999 he was curator of the archaeological and numismatic collection of the Archaeological Institute of Göttingen University . He also received his habilitation in ancient numismatics at the University of Göttingen in 1993 . In 2010 he received the Archer M. Huntington Medal .
