Christof Stoll

Christof Stoll (born June 26, 1912 ; † May 7, 2003 ) was a German entrepreneur and manufacturer of office furniture.

Life

The grandson of the office chair manufacturer Albert Stoll I studied business administration at the University of Heidelberg and after the death of his father Albert Stoll II took over the management of the company that his grandfather founded in 1871 in the third generation. In 1956, his brother Albert Stoll (Junior), who had already founded his own company under the giroflex brand in Koblenz AG in Switzerland before 1939 , left as a partner. Christof Stoll and the third brother Martin Stoll split up the company in 1958. While Martin Stoll took over the plants in Tiengen , Christof Stoll continued the plant in Waldshut and created the Sedus brand .

As an entrepreneur, Christof Stoll contributed to the expansion and international orientation of the office furniture manufacturer, which is one of the most important employers in the region at its headquarters in Waldshut / Dogern.

Among other things, Christof Stoll has introduced employee participation. The canteen provides employees with wholesome food . In 1985 Christof Stoll and his wife Emma Stoll founded the Stoll VITA Foundation , which has since been the majority owner of the company.
