Christopher Albert N. Jones (* 2nd quarter 1909 in Merthyr Tydfil , † unknown) was a Welsh football player .

Career

Jones played for the amateur club Gellifaelog Amateurs , based in his birthplace Merthyr Tydfil , before joining the English third division AFC Rochdale with two teammates in April 1929 for a trial session . After the injury-related failure of Billy Bertram , Jones made his debut on the last game day of the 1928/29 season , which was insignificant from a sporting point of view , when the team lost 5-0 at Rotherham United and another test player was used on the center stage with Albert Cooke, who came from Royston . Despite the significant defeat, Jones received a professional contract for the following season; but remained behind the regular half-strikers Bertram and Harry Lewis supplementary player and mostly had to be content with appearances in the reserve team. In addition to another assignment on the 2nd matchday of the 1929/30 season (2-1 home win against Tranmere Rovers ), he also made two appearances in the Manchester Senior Cup in the spring of 1930 , before leaving the club at the end of the season with an unknown goal.
