The Christ Church is a church in Westercelle .

history

The Evangelical Lutheran Christ Church Westercelle was built in 1961 and 1962 and was consecrated on October 20, 1962. The plan for the church comes from the architect Hachtmann, Celle.

The Westerceller Church was built as a hall church with a nave that has 300 seats and a transept, in which the organ was installed on the south side and the church chiefs' chairs were placed in the north side. In the east of the nave is the chancel with baptismal font and pulpit, in the west a confirmation room has been added, which can be connected to the church interior through a folding door and which then extends it by around 80 seats.

In November 1972, an attached parish hall was inaugurated, which can also be connected to the main nave through another folding door during festive services and larger events and then increases the number of seats by around 170 additional seats. The artist Erich Klahn carried out the artistic design of the church .
