Christy Burke
Christy Burke (* in Dublin ) is an Irish independent politician and was the 345th Lord Mayor of Dublin from June 2014 to June 2015.
Life
Burke grew up in Dublin. In 1985 he was first elected to the Dublin City Council for Sinn Féin . There were several re-elections. In 2009 he resigned from Sinn Féin three days after his re-election to the Dublin City Council . On June 6, 2014, he was elected Lord Mayor of Dublin , replacing Oisín Quinn from the Irish Labor Party .
