Chromosome break syndrome
Chromosome break syndromes (also chromosome instability syndromes ) are diseases that show up in vitro by increased fragility of the chromosomes and reduced growth . They are simply inherited as an autosomal or gonosomal recessive trait . The increased fragility increases the risk of developing malignant tumors . They are more sensitive to damaging influences such as ionizing radiation.
The diseases include:
- Fanconi anemia
- Louis Bar Syndrome (also Ataxia teleangiectatica )
- Werner syndrome
- Nijmegen Breakage Syndrome
- Bloom Syndrome
- Xeroderma pigmentosum
