Aurelia Gieler

Aurelia Gieler , née Kornfeind (born July 9, 1940 in Stinatz ) is a former Austrian politician and AHS teacher in rest ( ÖVP ). Gieler represented the ÖVP in the Burgenland Landtag from 1986 to 1987 .

Gieler was born as the daughter of the elementary school director Alfons Kornfeind from Trausdorf and grew up speaking Croatian. She first attended elementary school in Neustift bei Güssing , in 1947 she switched to elementary school in Trausdorf and graduated from BRG Eisenstadt in 1958. Gieler then studied history and music education at the University of Vienna and graduated in 1962 with the academic degree Mag. Phil. from. She then worked as an AHS teacher in Vienna, Montreux, at the Bundesgymnasium and Bundesrealgymnasium Mattersburg and, from 1974, at the Gymnasium and Oberstufenrealgymnasium of the Diocese of Eisenstadt. In 1992 she was awarded the title of senior teacher.

Gieler was the founder of the "Pro Burgenland Culture Association" and its first executive chairwoman. From September 18, 1988 she was also President of the Croatian Cultural Association in Burgenland.

Gieler represented the ÖVP between June 11, 1986 and October 30, 1987 in the state parliament.
