Cinegraphica

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Cìnegraphica is a commonly used in the 1970 title device for narrow films .

functionality

To give a hobby filmmaker the opportunity to give a film a title, the Cinegraphica was common on the market. Small adhesive letters were stuck on a small title board. The film was projected into the device from the open side. The film image and text were recorded together in the film camera via a semi-transparent mirror . A close-up lens built into the Cinegraphica made it possible to achieve a constant sharpness on this level. A small opening on the outside of the box-shaped device made it possible to illuminate the black-ground title surface.

Other functions

Slides could also be recorded as film with the device. Instead of the film, a slide is then projected. It is also possible to copy 2 × 8 films to Super-8 . For this purpose, the opening for the title was kept closed. The Cinegraphica could also be used to create duplicates of existing films.
