Citizens' Coalition for Economic Justice

The Citizens' Coalition for Economic Justice (CCEJ) is a South Korean civil movement founded in 1989 . This movement works for economic justice, protection of the environment , for the reunification of Korea and for democratic and social development. Although the movement has not existed for two decades, it has 35,000 members and 35 branches.

By giving citizens a voice, the CCEJ has improved education. Political alternatives were developed and legal reforms were advocated. The CCEJ organizes many public debates and informs the press about the concerns of citizens. The goal of economic justice has been extended to the whole world.

In 2003 the CCEJ received the Right Livelihood Award for its commitment to creating a reform program based on social justice.
