The City University of Hong Kong (CityU) ( Chinese  香港 城市 大學 ) is one of the eight universities in Hong Kong . Located in Kowloon Tong, Kowloon , the university was founded in 1984 as the City Polytechnic of Hong Kong and was granted university status on January 1, 1995.
