Rouvier Associés , or Rouvier for short, is a French investment company (fund company) headquartered in Paris, France . Rouvier specializes in fundamental equity and bond fund management for private and professional investors. The company has 26 employees, 10 of whom are responsible for fund management . Administrative work such as fund price evaluation, custody account management and order processing are outsourced to service providers (Banque de Luxembourg, EFA). Rouvier Associés manages investment funds of around 1,100 million euros (as of June 30, 2017).

history

The company was founded in 1986 by Guillaume Rouvier as an asset management company under the name Rouvier & Cie. Other founding members in the beginning were Marc de Roüalle (since 1988) and Jean-Baptiste Chaumet (since 1990). In 1991 the funds "Rouvier Valeurs" (focus on global equities ) and "Rouvier Patrimoine" (focus on pensions ) were launched, which still represent the heart of the company today. In 1999, Rouvier added more fund management members to his team, as did in 2003 and 2006. The company is renamed from Rouvier & Cie to Rouvier Associés. The new team members become partners (associés) of the house. In 2003 another fund was launched with "Rouvier Europe" (focus on European equities). Since 2012 there has been another offshoot of Rouvier Valeurs, Rouvier Evolution, which also follows a stock-picking approach, but also uses a systematic option strategy to reduce price volatilities. Up to the turn of the millennium, the customer base consisted almost exclusively of private French investors. The relatively good development of the Rouvier funds during the New Economy crisis from 2000 to 2003 and the resulting demand from professional investors led in the following years to a strategic expansion and opening of the company for cooperation with independent asset advisors, asset managers and private banks in France. Today Rouvier Associés has a team of 10 partners and fund managers. The majority of the fund managers are also partners in the company. Since 2008, Rouvier Associés has been approved for distribution in Switzerland with two fund products. Since January 2012 with all fund products in Germany, Luxembourg and Belgium. Since August 2014, Rouvier has also had a branch in Lausanne, Switzerland. Since the beginning of 2017, Rouvier Associés has also received marketing authorization for three of its funds in Austria.

Change of name

In 2020, Rouvier Associés was renamed: Clartan Associés is the new company name.

Activities in Germany

Rouvier Associés has a sales office in the Poppelsdorf district of Bonn . The sales structure is B2B oriented and takes place through cooperation with private banks , online brokers , fund platforms, family offices, asset managers and financial distributors.

Activities in Switzerland

Rouvier Associés operates its own branch in Lausanne near Geneva and serves the entire Swiss market from there.

Products

Rouvier Associés offers only four fund products for private and institutional investors and has followed a fundamental investment approach in the selection of stocks and bonds since it was founded. The selection process will seek out leading, profitable, global companies that appear undervalued compared to their market price at the time of investment . Rouvier draws on the entire expertise of his 10-person partner and fund management team. Investments are made exclusively in companies that allow access to management. The investment universe comprises around 270 to 300 quality companies worldwide.
