Classification Markup Language

Classification Markup Language (ClaML) is a special XML data format specification for the exchange of medical classifications. These classifications consist of code numbers for medical diagnoses and procedures ( ICD-10 ).

The ClaML specification was first published as technical specification CEN / TS 14463: 2003, a revision was accepted in 2007 as European standard EN 14463: 2007 and replaced by ISO 13120: 2013.

The ClaML standard was prepared by Working Group 3 (Semantic Content) of the International Organization for Standardization 's (ISO) Technical Committee (TC) Health Informatics , known as ISO / TC 215 WG3.

ClaML was adapted by the WHO in order to further disseminate their family of international classifications.

Availability of specifications
