Claude Colombo

Claude Colombo (born October 1, 1960 in Nice , France ) is a former French football referee.

As early as 1986 Colombo whistled for the first time an international game with the encounter between Italy and Switzerland (3: 2) in the qualification for the European Championship 1988. In the French league he was used from the 1990/91 season . From 1995 he headed numerous other international matches and then became a FIFA referee. He stayed that way until his age-related retirement in 2005. In France, where he made 237 top division appearances in 16 years, he whistled until 2006. His full-time job is an economics teacher.
