Clifford Witting

Clifford Witting (* 1907 in London , † 1968 ) was an English writer.

Witting attended Eltham College in Mottingham ( London Borough of Bromley ) and then got a job at Lloyd's Bank in 1924 . He stayed there until he was drafted into the army in 1942.

In 1934 he had married Ellen Majorie Steward in London.

Witting wrote almost exclusively crime novels . He created u. a. the protagonist duo Sergeant Bradford and Inspector Harry Charlton , to whom he dedicated several novels.
