The Club Almirante Brown is an Argentine football club from Buenos Aires . The club, founded in 1922, plays in the 2008 season in the Nacional B , the second-highest division in Argentine football.

history

The Club Almirante Brown was founded on January 17, 1922 as Centro Atlético y Recreativo Almirante Brown . The club played in the Nacional B from 1986-87 to 1997-98 and achieved in the 1991/1992 season with a second place in the season, its best table result ever. In the play-offs, however, the team had to admit defeat San Martin and has never played in the first division.

In May 2007, Almirante Brown won the Primera B Metropolitana Clausura , the third Argentinian league, and was able to beat Club Atlético Estudiantes in the final, but as there were massive riots during the match day, the club was after promotion with 18 minus points for the Nacional B occupied.
