Coburg Design Days
The Coburg Design Days are a five-day series of events and exhibitions on the subject of design. The Coburg Design Days have been held annually in the Upper Franconian city of Coburg since 1989 . The event has been taking place in the former parcel hall of the old freight station bahnhof and the adjacent outdoor area since 2014 .
history
After design funding had been politically decided in the Free State of Bavaria, the Coburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce first took the initiative. Together with the Coburg company Leuwico and professors Auwi Stübbe and Egon Tempel from the Coburg University of Applied Sciences , interior design course, ideas for events on site were developed. When the Coburg Design Days were first realized, the Coburg Chamber of Commerce and the Coburg University of Applied Sciences were the official organizers. Today the Coburg Designforum Oberfranken eV, founded in 2001, is the sole organizer.
From 2000 to 2013, the design days were held in the Coburg Hofbrauhaus, which is used by the Coburg University of Applied Sciences, and on the adjacent outdoor area.
