Codere is a Spanish gaming operator. The company is part of the Spanish small cap stocks index IBEX Small Cap . Codere was founded in 1980 by the Martínez Sampedro family and the Franco brothers, a manufacturer of gaming machines. As early as 1982, the company was operating over 3,000 machines and from 1983 expanded, starting from Madrid, to Catalonia and the Valencia region. The rest of Spain and parts of Latin America soon followed. The pure operation of slot machines was simultaneously expanded to include betting shops and casino operations. Codere also operates amusement arcades, horse tracks and online casinos today .
