Codex Petropolitanus (H)

The Codex Petropolitanus (No. 624 after Rahlfs , Siglum H) is a manuscript from the 5th or 6th century that was rewritten in the 9th century ( palimpsest ). The older text contained the 4th book of Moses in Greek with lacunae (gaps). Furthermore were patristic texts written.

The older version contained chapter divisions in the margin and verse divisions. At the end the name of a scribe was noted: Ioannou monachou Sergiou , the monk Johannes Sergios .

The manuscript is in the Russian National Library in Saint Petersburg with the signature Cod. Gr. 5.
