The Coffs Harbor Timber Company (CHT) operated two sawmills and two forest railways with a gauge of 3 feet 6 inches (1067 mm) south of Coffs Harbor in the Australian state of New South Wales .

history

The Coffs Harbor Timber Company was headquartered on Castlereagh Street in Sydney. CW Elliot and AC Mackay were its managing directors. They had hoped to move their timber from Maharratta (Bonville) and Nondaville (Boambee) to the port of Coffs Harbor, but there were unforeseen delays in obtaining rails for Section 7 from Raleigh to Coffs Harbor in 1913.

In March 1915, the Coffs Harbor Timber Company (CHT) acquired the British Australian Tramway's decommissioned rail vehicles, a stationary steam engine and its rails with a total length of 13 kilometers (8 miles). Their Bonville Mill opened in 1912 and their Boambee Mill in 1913. Both sawmills and their associated forest railways were valued at 50 to 60 thousand pounds. On March 1, 1918, it was announced that the Boambee Mill would be closed. It was closed in February 1919 and the CHT was liquidated in 1931, which also resulted in the closure of the Bonville Mill.
