Cold Spring Tavern
The Cold Spring Tavern is a historic building located near Santa Barbara , California . The building was erected in 1865 as a stagecoach station and was initially known as the Cold Springs Relay Station . At Cold Springs Relay Station the horses were changed and the stagecoach passengers could have meals.
The Cold Spring Tavern is located on Stagecoach Road , not far from today's Highway 154 , which connects the city of Santa Barbara over the San Marcos Pass with the more rural areas in the Santa Ynez Mountains .
The stagecoach station was abandoned in 1901, but the adjoining restaurant is still open.
