College Series
The College Series is a Germany-wide university championship in mixed fastpitch softball . The game is played according to the rules of the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC). The best teams of a year take part in the Mixed Softball Champions League the following year .
history
The first college series took place in June 1992 in Paderborn with participants from Aachen, Berlin, Bielefeld, Karlsruhe, Münster and Paderborn in the form of a single tournament; The winners were the Karlsruhe S-Cargos. The first College Series, based on today's model, followed in 1994 with a final in Karlsruhe, won by the Paderborn Padres. Since then, the College Series has been held annually.
