College Soccer (also: Collegesoccer) is an American name for a special form of soccer game that is mainly played at North American colleges or universities . In contrast, there is professional football, which is played exclusively for financial reasons.

College soccer is played primarily in the United States , but is also an important part of football in South Korea and Canada .

College soccer rules differ slightly from other soccer leagues. For example, more players can be replaced or the playing time runs backwards and ends hard at 0:00, even if the ball is still in the air.
