Commission Locale d'Information et de Surveillance

Commission Locale d´Information et de Surveillance (dt. Local committee for information and surveillance ) refers to committees which are set up in France for the observation and supervision of projects and facilities relevant to the public and security.
They are usually made up of representatives and delegates from operators, control organizations, monitoring authorities, journalists and local administrative bodies. In the CLIS of the Alsatian nuclear power plant Fessenheim (F) there are also representatives of the authorities and other participants from Germany and Switzerland.
