The Commission Supérieure Technique de l'Image et du Son (CST), which translates as the “Projecting Commission for Image and Sound Technology”, is the French umbrella association for professionals in audiovisual production, founded in 1944 and based in Paris .

The main objective is to improve and standardize production technologies for picture and sound in cinema, television and new media.

At the Cannes International Film Festival , the CST has awarded the Prix ​​Vulcain de l'artiste technicien since 1951 .
