The Compagnie des chemins de fer secondaires du Nord-Est (CFS-NE) was from 1922 to 1960 a company for the operation of branch lines in northeast France.

history

The company was founded by a decree of August 26, 1922 authorizing the merger of the two old local railway lines in the Aisne department : the Compagnie du chemin de fer de Saint-Quentin à Guise and its subsidiary Compagnie des chemins de fer départementaux de l 'Aisne .

In 1951 the board of directors of the Aisne department decided to buy back all local railways. The CFS-NE then went on in 1956 in the Compagnie des chemins de fer d'intérêt local du Nord de la France , which also operated the Chemin de fer de Guise au Catelet .

On February 29, 1960, the company merged with the Compagnie des chemins de fer secondaires (CFS) under the name Compagnie des chemins de fer secondaires et transports automobiles (CFSTA). The two formerly independent companies then had the same directors and office.
