Confédération Générale de la Fonction Publique

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Confédération Générale de la Fonction Publique (CGFP) is an association of professional associations in the public service in Luxembourg . Its purpose is to represent the social, moral, professional and material interests of civil servants, civil servants and other persons working under contract for the state, regardless of their gender.

The CGFP acts irrespective of any political or ideological orientation. In accordance with its view of an independent and neutral trade union system, the CGFP tirelessly pursues a broad program of action, not only to continuously improve the professional and social situation of its members, but also to take a position on all general political problems.

The CGFP consists of around sixty public service associations and professional associations and thus has a total of more than 24,000 members. This makes it the only trade union in the Luxembourg public service to be recognized as representative at national level according to the law and thus one of the first actors in the Luxembourg trade union scene.

On December 15, 2009, the union passed a new resolution from the 43rd CGFP Board Conference.
