The Connecticut Public Broadcasting is the public broadcasting network for the US state Connecticut . It operates the television stations WPBN and CPTV as well as the radio network WNPR . The studios and all other facilities are located in Hartford and New Haven .

The beginnings of public broadcasting in Connecticut go back to an educational television station that went on air in 1962 from the basement of Trinity College Library in Hartford.
