aims

It not only influences politics, but also takes legal action, such as before the Federal Constitutional Court and now at the European Court of Human Rights, proceedings to achieve adequate compensation for thalidomide victims.

The existing legal question, to what extent the Federal Republic of Germany is responsible for the thalidomide victims, because by federal law (§ 23 Paragraph 1 of the establishment law of a foundation "Aid Organization for Disabled Children") it extinguished all claims of thalidomide victims against the Grünenthal company, was examined by the Contergannetzwerk Deutschland, classified according to the legal system and put into a corresponding catalog of requirements.

In addition, selected thalidomide victims should receive a platform on the pages, a closed forum, of the thalidomide network, on which a specific exchange is conditionally possible, regardless of the severity of the disability. Finally, the public should be informed about the situation of thalidomide victims using different case studies.
