Control self assessment

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Control Self Assessment (CSA) ( Self-assessment Internal Control ) is a concept for the targeted collection and analysis of information on organizational and / or process-related objectives, risks and controls.

There are two basic approaches, workshops or surveys.

In the case of a control self-assessment carried out as a survey, one or more surveyed units fill out questionnaires that can be evaluated independently or centrally. This survey can help the units (people, groups, departments, regions, ...) to become aware of their goals, risks, weaknesses or strengths.

A CSA can range from a small test to a large survey.

The result can be evaluated individually for each participating unit and does not depend on the size of the group surveyed.
