Coomatloukane ( Irish Com an tSleabhcáin ) is a wedge tomb on the Ring of Kerry , south of the N70 road and south of Waterville in County Kerry in Ireland . Wedge Tombs ( German  "Keilgräber" , formerly also called "wedge-shaped gallery grave") are double-walled, aisle-free, mostly undivided megalithic buildings from the late Neolithic and early Bronze Age .

It is a north-east-south-west oriented, about 5.0 m long rectangular chamber, which is formed on both sides by a double row of orthostats . The space in between is filled with neatly laid stones. A remnant of a capstone lies at the rear end. At the southwest end there are remains of the exedra of a small courtyard.

The Wedge Tomb has elements of a wedge tomb and a court tomb and is surrounded by burials that are adapted to natural rock formations. There are numerous boulder burials to the east and at least four officially recorded megalithic sites of a similar type within a mile. One is Coomatloukane North, north of the N70.
