Corporate design manual

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The corporate design manual (also: Corporate Design Manual) defines the basic design elements of the corporate design of a brand / company for internal and external communication (e.g. for service providers).

The agency or designer commissioned with the development or revision of the corporate design delivers a corporate design manual as the end of his work. It is presented to the company in writing and is usually as extensive as a small paperback. It summarizes all the features of the corporate design and provides information on the details that have been developed. These are e.g. B. fonts, font sizes, color climate panels, etc. It is used by all service providers who fall back on the corporate design developed in the following years. This ensures that every service provider can adhere to the given rules and that a uniform corporate image is achieved. Large companies that work with many external service providers also have the latest information on their corporate design available on the Internet or intranet . While the basic elements are usually valid for many years, small changes and further developments can result for their application within a short period of time.
