Cotton Kid is a Franco-Belgian comic series released between 1999 and 2003 .

Cotton Kid lives on a cotton plantation in the southern United States. His role model is his older brother Trevor, who works for the renowned Pinkerton agency and who tells him about his exciting adventures. Kid follows him enthusiastically. The reality, however, looks a little different from what his brother described. With the help of the resourceful and cunning Kid, Trevor is able to successfully close multiple cases.

With this series, Jean Léturgie and Pearce implemented the idea of ​​depicting the West before the Civil War in a humorous way from the perspective of a little boy. They followed a similar concept in Lucky Kid .

The series was partially pre-published in BoDoï. The album editions were published by Vents d'Ouest. In the German-speaking area, Carlsen initially released the first four albums. The remaining two albums were released by Salleck .
