Coulant
A coulant (from French movable, flowing ) is a sliding ring or an eyelet that creates the connection between a medal (neck) ribbon and the decoration attached to it. The ribbon with the coulant was often detached from a chain, for example in the clothing of the Cologne cathedral chapter .
