The Countryside Alliance (abbreviated CA , German for example: Allianz des Landleben ) is a British organization based in London, which advocates for issues that they believe are linked to British country life. This includes above all hunting, in particular driven and driven hunts with dogs for live animals, the use of firearms and fishing. The organization was founded on July 10, 1997 as the successor to three organizations: the British Field Sports Society , the Countryside Business Group and the Countryside Movement. The organization is divided into ten regional sub-organizations based in England or Wales. The Chair of the Countryside Alliance is currently Labor MP Kate Hoey . In Scotland there is a Scottish Countryside Alliance which has the same goals.

The Countryside Alliance is primarily opposed to the restriction of hunting, in particular the ban on the hunt with packs of dogs for foxes as well as rabbit baiting . These were banned by the Hunting Act 2004 following the publication of the Burns Inquiry results . The Countryside Alliance has initiated a number of lawsuits against this law. According to the organization, it has 100,000 members.
