Cruce de los Baños
Cruce de los Baños is the capital of the municipality of Tercer Frente . It has a little over 1000 inhabitants and is located in the east of Cuba , about 40 kilometers west of Santiago de Cuba . Growing fruit and vegetables as well as raising livestock are the main livelihoods in the surrounding villages.
A tourist destination is the El Saltón waterfall , where a two-star hotel has been built. 15 kilometers south is the former headquarters of the Third Revolutionary Front ( Tercer Frente ) under the leadership of Comandante Juan Almeida .
