Tercer Frente ( Spanish for Third Front ) is a municipality in the province of Santiago de Cuba, west of Santiago de Cuba in Cuba .
The area around Cruce de los Baños wearing low mountain character and, apart from some dry southern slopes, an area with many damp and partially very dense vegetation of the sections of rainforest remember. There are many streams and some rivers that turn into torrential rivers after heavy rains, often affecting stable bridges .
During the revolution, the command center of the guerrilla fighters around Fidel Castro was about 15 km south of Cruce de los Baños .
